As soon as the semester ended May 1st, we took off to study brachiopod diversity during the GOBE in midcontinental Laurentia. We visited the Oklahoma University Sam Noble Museum collections, then camped for a couple of weeks in the Arbuckle Mountains–during peak tornado season. Perhaps May isn’t the best month for this, but the brachiopods were spectacular!
